Personalized Care

Thorough physical therapy and wellness services are offered with the convenience of telehealth.

I believe you. I take listening to you seriously; it’s your body and you’re in control. Often you know far more about what’s going on since you’ve been living in your body your whole life. Your story matters and I’m here to help you put the pieces together for you.
We’ll work together to make a management plan that works for you. Maybe it’s stress management, corrective exercises, manual therapy, joint mobilization or mobility movements; with your goals in mind we’ll take action. Having a plan can be one of the most relieving parts of therapy and I’m here to help you make one.
After getting back to the things you love with the people you love, we hope you share your story of healing. By talking openly about pelvic health you are empowering more people to ask the uncomfortable questions and get the help they deserve.  Leave us a review or send us a testimonial.  We love to hear how FEM has changed your life.

Currently all services are being offered online.
Stay tuned for in-person appointments in Kansas City Missouri.

**It is important to note that online care laws in the US dictate that a physical therapist cannot evaluate and treat injuries if they are not licensed in the state the client resides in. As such, online consultation is technically, and legally, considered a “wellness” or “patient education” visit- which IS within the legal scope of physiotherapists across state and country lines. Please contact us if you are unsure if you qualify for online sessions.**

Advocacy
My goal is to improve your health and function, I strive to get you the best care possible. If this isn’t possible within this format I will help you find the type of provider or someone similar close to you. The only difference between a traditional, in person, pelvic health appointment is the absence of an internal or vaginal pelvic floor muscles assessment. In a previous life, in a previous clinic, I performed these assessments and they have GREAT value. My job now as a telehealth pelvic health PT is to discern if I can help you without an internal manual assessment – for many individuals and complaints, I can. However, my goal is to help you get the best treatment possible; if I determine you would be better suited with an in-person assessment, I will assist you in finding a practitioner in your area.

Testimonials

“I had an unplanned c-section and was not prepared for the recovery. Once I was able to work out, I started working with Laurel. In the beginning, I was afraid to sneeze because my back would just give out. My back would hurt all the time. I used to run before giving birth. And that is all I wanted to get back to – and now I am able to run because of Laurel. My back feels so much better – and of course I am no longer afraid to sneeze. I would highly recommend anyone that has given birth to work with Laurel. She is not only highly talented, but she is also kind and patient. She takes the time to make sure that you understand the workouts, what you should be doing, and also what you shouldn’t be doing. I’m very thankful I worked with Laurel.”

Annie Pearce

“Working with Laurel to learn about diastasis recti rehabilitation and pelvic floor strengthening was completely transformative! Her in-depth knowledge and calming, friendly personality made our time together an enjoyable experience. She has an incredible ability to explain these complex systems in an understandable way! After eight weeks of therapy and carefully assigned home exercises, my large abdominal split was completely closed. I have since had another pregnancy, being mindful of the knowledge and exercises Laurel taught, which resulted in no abdominal split at 8 weeks postpartum! She is a wealth of knowledge and an extremely admirable person and friend!”

Allison Slaughter
